On Thursday Dr. Schatz gave a wonderful presentation of his latest research on Sarawak's development for about twenty UNIMAS professors and staff. It was a really fun time as throughout the presentation of his findings he encouraged everyone to share their own experiences. Schatz is an economist but this was more like social science.
I'm meeting him at the Kuching airport today. We fly to Kota Kinabalu and then will drive three hours south to Lawas. I return to UNIMAS on Sunday, and my next blog post will probably be Tuesday.
