Alamanda Aliment

A week or so into our stay here my roommate and I made our first dinner together. There is one small shopping complex called Everise that is accessible for UNIMAS students like us who don't have cars. It's a five minute walk from the entrance to the Old Campus. We got groceries there, and with a refrigerator, a microwave, and now two rice cookers, we are able to make some pretty mean dinners. Not having a stove or oven is slightly limiting, but we can get pretty creative with those rice cookers.

Raqee came over with his chicken and fried bananas, and we feasted on boiled mini sausages on top of baked beans in tomato sauce on top of rice with a side of corn. Luckily Seon brought from Korea some Gochoojang, a spicy chili paste which makes every food taste better.
